What do I personally
feel about so called May-December relationships-- people who find love with someone with a big age gap?
Good question! This love topic has been in the air with everyone
watching couples like Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon, Miley Cycrus and her lovers, Hugh Hefner and the various "Girls Next
Door," Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta Jones and most famously, Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore. The so-called "Cougar
women" or Puma phenomenon is certainly in effect.(So do we call the men old crows or
buzzards?)
I will never say never,
but personally I'm not usually attracted to old men or young boys. I've never had a relationship, love, sex, dating or otherwise,
with anyone with a huge age difference. They've certainly made a play for me on both sides of the spectrum but I wasn't feeling
an attraction. The average difference of most married couples is 3-4 years and my relationships have all personally fallen
within that age range.
That may change,
but for now that's my dating experience. As for others, I say live and let live. It all depends on maturity levels of both
partners. Right? How young is too young and how old is too old? With 60% of marriages ending in divorce I say let's pursue
love where we are truly feeling it.
