Making this project has been an interesting journey, and in the past year with the addition of Kristal Mosley to the team, the project has changed paths.  It is now specifically focused on the perspective of African American women and comes from a more hopeful place. Professor Henry Louis Gates, Jr. AKA Skip Gates was kind enough to grant me an interview while he was a bit under the weather. My DP (Director of Photography) Sarah Singh and I enjoyed speaking with him as we a had a very thoughtful conversation.
